Residents of St Mary’s Nursing Home in Moston, Manchester, enjoyed tasting beers from all over the globe as they watched key matches in the World Cup.
We also viewed footage from big matches of the past such as England’s 1966 World Cup victory and reminisced about their memories of those times.
The home was decorated with national flags and residents wore Union Jack hats to cheer on England. Snacks served up included Eccles cakes and mini pork pies.
Some of the residents enjoyed a game of ‘slipper soccer’ with goal posts and a soft ball.View more updates from St Marys
