Bingo’s the big attraction at Walton Manor

Residents of Walton Manor Residential and Nursing Home, Liverpool, have been enjoying weekly bingo sessions.

We have our own machine that flashes up the numbers when they are called by our activities co-ordinator, Marina – and our carers work with residents to make sure everyone can follow the game and call “Bingo!” at the right moment.

Marina said: “We have lots of residents who went to the bingo every week when they were younger – the men as well as the ladies! It’s great to be able to bring this fun activity into the home. It’s become a favourite weekly fixture.

“We give out a number of prizes – and no-one finishes a bingo session empty-handed! I always joke that I don’t have holidays or cars to give away, but I do have some lovely chocolates.”
