Christmas songs get residents at Downshaw Lodge in the festive spirit

Residents of Downshaw Lodge Nursing Home in the North West enjoyed listening to Christmas songs such as, ‘White Christmas’ and ‘I Wish it Could be Christmas Everyday’ at their festive party.

They loved pulling crackers and sharing their jokes with one another. Alcohol-free mulled wine and beers, along with a chocolate log, mince pies, homemade cupcakes and biscuits were all served throughout the afternoon.

Adriana, our activities co-ordinator, said: “The residents reminisced on festivities of yesteryear thanks to our entertainer’s song choice. They particularly loved listening to Queen and watching the staff playing musical chairs.

“It was a great afternoon for everyone who attended and definitely got everyone excited for Christmas.”
