Duchess Gardens residents take a holiday

Residents and staff from Duchess Gardens Care Centre, Bingley, took a holiday to the North Yorkshire countryside.

The four men and two staff members stayed in a specially-adapted cottage in Beamsley, near Bolton Abbey, for a week. We took trips out in our hired minibus for walks, picnics and to visit attractions.

We also relaxed at the cottage, cooked food together and enjoyed card games and movie nights during the autumn break. A ladies’ holiday for female residents is now being planned.

In other recent news, our manager Helen went ‘sober for October’ and raised money for the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children – thanks to generous donations from colleagues, friends and family.
