Residents and staff twist again at Washington Lodge

A visiting entertainer was a huge hit at Washington Lodge Nursing Home in the North East, singing classics such as Tina Turner’s ‘Proud Mary’ and ‘Let’s Twist Again’ by Chubby Checker.

Our residents and staff sang along with the vocalist, Jessica, at the top of their voices – and some of them got up to do the twist, the popular 60s dance move.

Jessica was the special guest at our Hallowe’en party. Friends and family were invited to share afternoon tea at the home, which was adorned with spooky skeletons and pumpkins.

In other recent news, residents have been attending a weekly coffee morning at nearby Our Lady’s Church. They have been making new friends from the community and enjoying cakes and bakes.
