Residents of Duchess Gardens head to Roberts Park

Residents and colleagues of Duchess Gardens Care Centre, in Bingley, headed to the beautiful World Heritage Site of Saltaire, just a couple of miles away.

The wonderful Victorian surroundings of Roberts Park – created by the philanthropist mill owner, Sir Titus Salt, almost 150 years ago – provided the perfect spot for us to enjoy a fish-and-chip picnic.

Our activities co-ordinator, Les, said: “Roberts Park is one of our favourite places to go during our trips out, because it has some gorgeous scenery – and we thoroughly enjoyed our food!”

In other news, the residents have loved looking through Les’ photography books, and creating their own artwork on canvases.
