Residents, colleagues, family and friends at Sandycroft Nursing Home, Blackpool, celebrated Armed Forces Day with a party.
To commemorate the service of men and women in the British Armed Forces, we dressed up in uniforms and enjoyed some games. We had a quiz and raffle, which was great fun and some of us got really competitive!
Our activities co-ordinator, Marlene, said: “We also had a live entertainer visit us called Mark, and we loved singing and dancing along to the classic 50s and 60s music. We all had a great day!”
In other news, resident and colleagues are also looking forward to a visit from a local historian, who brings in memorabilia from the local area for discussion.
Marlene continued: “He’s visited us a few times now, and we love him. We give him the names of all of the residents, and he researches things like where they attended school, and prints off images for them to keep.”View more updates from Sandycroft
