Sandycroft commemorates the 100th anniversary of the end of World War One

Staff and residents at Sandycroft Nursing Home, Blackpool, made poppies to decorate their lounge and observed the minute’s silence on Remembrance Sunday.

One of our staff members also dressed up as a soldier, as part of the events to mark the 100th anniversary of the end of World War One.

Food was served at a specially-decorated table and the emotive poem, ‘Who are these men?’ by 11-year-old Jodie Johnson, was read out.
