Sandycroft residents bring the sunshine

Bring me sunshine was the call from residents at Sandycroft who enjoyed a fabulous day trip to Morecambe.

Residents Eric Mackay, Pat Gill and Eddy Boe travelled up the coast from Blackpool to sample the delights of the neighbouring Lancashire seaside resort.

They enjoyed the bracing sea air of Morecambe Bay, tucked into delicious fish and chips and did the obligatory pose with the wonderful statue of Eric Morecambe.

Manager Jane Lyth says: “The trip to Morecambe was the residents’ choice, and everyone who went along had a great time. We also got some great shots of everyone next to Eric Morecambe’s statue!”

Sandycroft residents will also be visiting a world-famous attraction much closer to home with a trip to see the spectacle that is the Blackpool Illuminations.

Commonly known as the ‘Greatest free light show on Earth’, the miles of traditional colourful and brightly-lit displays along the Promenade attract some three million visitors every year.
