Sounds of the 50s, 60s and 70s at High Peak Lodge

High Peak Lodge Residential and Nursing Home, in Leigh, has been welcoming new entertainers, including a male and female singing duo, JJ’s.

The pair performed pop hits spanning three decades, from the 50s to the 70s, much to the enjoyment of our residents and staff, who sang and clapped along.

Our admin officer, Lesley, said: “We’re trying out new singers at the moment. Our residents are keen to see some different entertainers coming through our doors.
“JJ’s were performing here for the first time and they were great – we will definitely ask them back!”

The home’s activity calendar also features regular chair-based exercise sessions, led by our activities co-ordinators and care assistants. Our residents are encouraged to wave cheerleaders’ pom poms and move in time to the music.
