Sports day at Washington Lodge

Washington Lodge Nursing Home in the North East welcomed children from nearby John F Kennedy Primary School for a fun-packed sports day.

We were visited by a group of four and five year olds from the school, to take part in some sporting activities as a special outing for them, before the summer holidays.

Our manager, June, said: “It was a lovely morning. We played games including egg and spoon race and toss the bean bag. Some of us got really competitive, which made everyone laugh.”

The sports day linked in nicely with the group-wide them for July of ‘Qualia gets sporty’.

We also enjoyed a puppet show in the afternoon, which was lots of fun.

June added: “the sports day was probably one of our favourite activities we’ve done lately, so we’ll definitely repeat the experience when we can!”
