Residents donned their aprons and baked up some tasty treats as part of a fun culinary event, proving to be good mixers by making delicious Cherry Bakewells.
“The residents had a great time mixing the Cherry Bakewells and having a good old sing-a-long at the same time,” says Care Coordinator, Fiona Feltrup.
“As everyone was joining in and getting messy they were interacting and sharing their own stories of when they used to bake at home.”
Visitors will be able to sample some bake sale treats when Duchess Gardens opens its doors for Care Home Open Day on June 16. Activities for the event, which starts at 10.30am, also include fun and games, a tombola as well as tea and coffee.View more updates from Duchess Gardens
