Walton Manor’s chef serves up banquet for Chinese New Year

Walton Manor Residential and Nursing Home’s talented chef, Robert, created an amazing meal of chicken fried rice, noodles, prawn crackers and other traditional finger buffet favourites for Chinese New Year.

Family and friends of our residents joined us at our home in Liverpool for the occasion – and we all had the chance to try using chopsticks. Chinese lanterns, made by residents and staff, and other decorations helped to set the scene.

Our manager, John, said: “We had a fabulous time. One of our favourite singers, John Smith, returned to perform the hits of Elvis and The Beatles. The residents love him – he plays the keyboard and wears a keyboard tie. He gets everyone involved in singing and clapping along.”
