Our team offers a kind, considerate and attentive service. Everyone is treated with dignity and the focus is on promoting residents’ independence and quality of life.
Our home consists of 114 rooms in four separate units, providing safe, clean and comfortable personal spaces which are complemented by pleasant landscaped gardens and welcoming, communal rooms.
We serve delicious and varied menus of freshly-cooked food and provide a full and enjoyable programme of events and activities.
We are committed to providing our residents with the level of considerate and effective care that we would expect for ourselves or a loved one.
Our team provides quality nursing care and individualised care packages for people living with dementia or a related condition, and to those with palliative and end-of-life care needs.
Our young physically disabled unit offers specialist facilities and care for a wide range of disabilities and needs. We also provide expert 24-hour care for people with Huntington’s and Parkinson’s, delivering personal care and daily activities to stimulate mind and body.
We want our residents to lead as full and active a life as possible – and aim to find something fun and engaging for everyone – so a varied and interesting activity programme is at the heart of the care we provide.
Hillside Nursing Home is committed to providing our residents with the level of considerate and effective care that we’d expect for ourselves or a loved one.
Manager at Hillside
I qualified as an RGN in 1997 and have worked in a variety of care settings ranging from surgical nursing to breast care specialist nurse and I was a district nurse for 10 years. I made the move into social care in 2010 after enjoying my time spent in nursing homes during my district nursing days.
I became Clinical Services Manager in 2012 for a care home in Staffordshire before taking the role of Deputy Manager. I relocated to the Wirral in 2014 and again worked as a Deputy Manager in a large nursing home specialising in palliative care.
I joined Qualia Care in December 2017 as Deputy Manager and became Home Manager of Hillside in April 2018. I am excited in moving the home forward with the help of our team and developing our new dementia unit. Our resident’s happiness and wellbeing is paramount, and with having a elderly nursing unit along with a young disabled unit our activities have to be quite varied.
Our motto is “Happy Home, Happy Staff = Happy Residents”
In my spare time I like to spend time with my partner and son. I enjoy reading and holidays abroad.

The home is easily accessible – it is close to the M57 and M62 motorway, and is well-served by both rail and bus services.Get Directions
I feel that my Mum is in a safe and caring environment with varied activities. Hillside smells fresh and the rooms are cleaned to a high standard every day, the availability of a daily bath is much appreciated by my Mum as is the weekly 'hair do'. Mum enjoys her poetry class, occasional game of bingo, and there are different activities organised each day by encouraging staff.- Daughter Of Resident
IF for one minute I was not completely satisfied with the Care, conditions & treatments received by my Niece, I would have taken action by now. She is happy, and has improved greatly from her condition when transferred there from the Hospital. ALL the Staff are capable, kind, welcoming and friendly, and they treat all Residents calmly and efficiently, and with respect. They have a very demanding job, but their performance is A1.- Friend Of Resident
