Residents and colleagues at St Mary’s Nursing Home in Moston, Greater Manchester, have been enjoying some of their usual activities, as lockdown eases slightly, and normality is in sight.
Our activities co-ordinator, Sarah, said: “Now the activities are back up and running, it’s been great to have some one-on-one time with all the residents.
“We’ve enjoyed a change of scenery in the activities room and we have some games of bingo planned – with prizes ranging from snacks of chocolate and crisps, to packets of tissues, which the residents love.”
In other news, we have got been getting involved in singalongs – with music from the 40s and 50s – and enjoying some of our favourite games, including dominoes.
Residents have also benefited from hand therapy – including cleaning, filing and cutting of nails along with massage. There have been some vibrant colour choices for nail painting too!View more updates from St Marys
