Residents at Sandycroft Nursing Home in Blackpool have been busy with a packed calendar of events, dominated by bingo and quizzes – which we love to take part in all year round!
Some residents, including Eileen and Gail, have been on one-to-one shopping trips with carers, filling their baskets at The Range – and popping into town to look around high-street stores.
For Shrove Tuesday, we filled pancakes with cream, apples, lemon and icing sugar, and have been arranging spring daffodils into beautiful displays.
We’ve also been enjoying the talents of a variety of new vocalists to visit us – we’ve been seeing who we like best, to invite back! Another get-together on the horizon is a ladies’ afternoon tea for Mothers’ Day.
Our activities co-ordinator, Marlene, said: “Now the weather is getting warmer, we are looking forward to getting out into the garden. We are planning activities from planting flowers to simply sitting out and chatting!”View more updates from Sandycroft
