Residents of Birchley Hall Care Home have been enjoying regular beauty days, to keep us looking smart.
Our activities co-ordinator, Kathleen, said: “Staff have been performing hairdressing duties – at times, I have two residents under the drier and one waiting for a blow wave!
“It’s wonderful that we can ensure the residents all get their hair done nicely. In addition, we’ve been painting nails and giving hand massages, so everyone looks great!”
We’re hoping to host a cheese and wine night for all the residents one evening soon, as many of us enjoy a nice glass of wine – and for those who don’t like cheese, we will substitute this for cake!
We’ve also started preparing for our Christmas fair and have been making shapes and bows out of stiff felt – adding these to headbands, hair clips and note pads. Fingers crossed we will be able to have the event.View more updates from Birchley Hall
