Residents and colleagues of Hillside Nursing Home in Huyton, Merseyside, have been donating to our local food bank.
We were moved to help after learning about the problems with poverty in our area, on the TV news, as described by representatives of Huyton Food Bank.
Our administrator, Keeley, said: “It’s part of the Qualia philosophy to get involved in the community wherever we can. Coronavirus restrictions mean we cannot do a lot of this sort of thing at the moment, but donating to the food bank is one way that we can make a difference.”
In other news, we enjoyed buying tickets for a Halloween raffle with a variety of chocolate and sweets as prizes.
We also held a grand Halloween quiz, a small party and a scary movie afternoon – with our residents opting to watch the Alfred Hitchcock classic, ‘Psycho’.View more updates from Hillside
