Residents of Birchley Hall Care Home in Billinge, near St Helens, have been busy painting and collaging beautiful rainbows to display in our own windows – and those of our colleagues.
The multi-coloured motif has become a national emblem of hope during the Coronavirus outbreak – aimed at cheering up passers-by.
Our activities co-ordinator, Kathleen, said: “Our residents have been creating lovely pictures for the windows of their rooms and the communal areas.
“Their carers liked the artwork so much that they have been asking residents to paint extra rainbows for them to put up at home, too.”
The lockdown also means our regular hairdresser hasn’t been able to visit – so Kathleen has been taking care of shampooing, curling and blow-waving as well as the occasional trim.View more updates from Birchley Hall
