Residents of Simonsfield Residential Care Home in Liverpool have been enjoying regular get togethers at our ‘chit chat’ club.
Our activities co-ordinator Dawn runs the gatherings in our upstairs tearoom – setting different topics of conversation each time.
Dawn says: “Most recently, we’ve been talking about Paris fashions from the 1920s to the present, and for International Women’s Day we discussed famous females from Agatha Christie to Margaret Thatcher.”
As St Patrick’s Day is coming up, we’re trying traditional Irish foods this month – from Irish stew to soda bread and white pudding.
In other news, we’ve been on trips out to the cinema to see 1917 and shopping at T J Hughes.View more updates from Simonsfield
