Residents and colleagues of Simonsfield Care Home in Liverpool visited the city’s Maritime Museum.
We enjoyed seeing centuries-old wooden figureheads from long-gone ships and displays about the slave trade and smugglers, as well as enjoying a dish of traditional ‘scouse’ stew in the restaurant there.
Our activities co-ordinator, Dawn, said: “Our residents love to learn about history and we had a great time at the museum.
“We’re now planning a trip to the Lady Lever Art Gallery at Port Sunlight, to see its collection of Pre-Raphaelite paintings and other treasures.”
Other treats recently have been a Chinese New Year banquet at the authentic Tai Pan restaurant and a party afternoon featuring vocalist Gary Leighton.View more updates from Simonsfield
