Residents help to transform garden at Birchley Hall

Residents and colleagues of Birchley Hall Care Home in Billinge, St Helens, have been enjoying the sunshine while sprucing up the garden.

We have been tidying up our outdoor space and in the process painting the old bird tables in bright colours, to liven up the area. The residents have also been making beautiful wind chimes to hang up around the garden, which sound lovely when they sway in the breeze.

Kath, our activities co-ordinator, said: “We asked the residents what flowers they would like to plant outside, and they have chosen Pansies, Tulips and Busy Lizzies, which I think will make the perfect addition to our garden.”

In other news, we are also preparing to celebrate the upcoming Cupcake Day, where we will all be baking some tasty cakes for the occasion.
