COVID-19 STATEMENT

At Qualia Care, our primary concern is for the health and wellbeing of our residents. With this in mind, we are limiting visitors to our homes to essential personnel only. We are still welcoming new residents but have adapted the way we work to ensure we are following government guidance. As ever our friendly teams at each of our care homes are always happy to help and we invite you to get in touch.

Simonsfield is a warm and welcoming care home on the site of a former Victorian church, surrounded by gardens featuring flowers and vegetable plots.

We have 36 rooms with ensuite washing facilities, two large lounges, a spacious dining room, a cosy tea room, a hairdressing salon and an on-site car park.

Simonsfield has a homely atmosphere, thanks to experienced staff who encourage personal freedoms – and always take care to meet residents’ needs and aspirations, rather than focusing on ailments or conditions.

Our services

We pride ourselves on our high standards of care, including efficient administration of medication and attention to personal diet and health needs. We look out for any significant health developments that GPs or other health professionals may need to be consulted upon.

Our care workers take the time to get to know residents and their families, building good relationships and establishing strong bonds of trust.

Our nutritious, balanced meals are reviewed regularly in consultation with residents. Our chef likes to visit each resident every day to talk about what’s on the menu and alternative options available.

We run a full programme of events which is tailored to the interests of residents, featuring all kinds of enjoyable pursuits aimed at keeping participants active and interested.

Types of Care

At Simonsfield we offer high-quality, individualised care for the people of Merseyside – in particular, those who have lived in the Anfield area and want to stay in the neighbourhood they know and love.

Manager at Simonsfield

My journey into the Care Industry started in 1998, 20 years ago. I first started in the NHS and then my journey then took me into Elderly Care in 2000, I felt like I had found my vocation and I was promoted to Deputy Manager of a care home in 2004, on this journey I realised that in this profession I was able to make a difference in peoples lives, which is what drove me.

I then went on to become Home Manager at Simonsfield in 2008, 10 years ago, a job that I love and I know ever day that I’ve made a difference in peoples lives. In my capacity as Home Manager at Simonsfield, I strive to ensure that the residents receive the highest standard of care possible, I feel one of the best ways this is possible, is to ensure that staff feel supported and are allowed to expand to the best of their ability in their role, this includes staff training and moral support.

Simonsfield is not just a Care Home, it’s a home from home, with both residents and staff feeling cared for, happy and content. Our staff are very happy in their roles and this is reflected in the care our residents receive on a daily basis.
