Colleagues and residents of Gilwood Lodge Nursing Home, Blackpool, are looking forward to an extra-special birthday party.
One of our residents, Ethel, is turning 100, so we are planning a party with buffet food and a beautiful cake – as well as an official, congratulatory letter from the Queen, fingers crossed!
In other news, our care worker, Dave – a superb singer – has been continuing to perform our favourite hit songs, with plenty of opportunity to sing and clap along.
Our administrator, Ann, said: “We’ve also been busy gardening, having weekly hairdressing and manicure sessions and filling our home with our brightly-coloured crafts and artwork.”
