Types of Care

We provide a range of care and specialist services, tailored to meet residents’ needs.

We offer residential care, dementia care, nursing care, respite care, palliative care and end-of-life care. We place a keen emphasis on enriching the lives of residents in all our facilities. We ensure every resident receives the personalised and responsive care, treatment and support that they need.

Residential Care

We provide quality personal care for older people who require support with the day-to-day activities of living, such as dressing, bathing or taking medication. We ensure kind, thoughtful and caring staff are at hand whenever needed.  Our facilities and staff promote the independence, health, safety and wellbeing of each resident. We provide a range of life-enriching activities and pursuits, and actively support families and friends of those living with us.

Nursing Care

We provide quality, evidence-based nursing care for those who require ongoing support. Our team of registered nurses and skilled staff are committed to providing excellent standards to maintain the health, wellbeing and dignity of each resident while encouraging them to be as independent as possible.

Dementia Care

We provide specialist care, nursing and/or personal care for people living with a dementia or a related condition. This is delivered by specifically-trained and supported carers who are experienced in identifying and understanding the unique opportunities and difficulties that those living with dementia, their families and friends may experience. Our facilities provide a safe environment intended to maximise independence, reduce stress and promote health and wellbeing.

Palliative Care

We provide specialist palliative care for people living with life-threatening illness, advanced dementia or a related condition, or who are in the last six months of life. Our skilled palliative care nurse practitioners and their teams ensure each resident feels as comfortable as possible, and help to relieve pain and other distressing or disabling symptoms. We provide physical, psychological, social and spiritual support for residents, their family and friends. We also offer ongoing, active support to our care teams.

End-Of-Life Care

We provide high-quality end-of-life care that helps people to live as well as possible and to die with dignity. Our experienced care teams work sensitively to support residents, address their needs and fulfil their personal wishes and goals as well as supporting their family, carers and friends. Our care homes that offer an end-of-life service undertake vigorous internal and external assessment and are either accredited, or in the process of becoming accredited, with the industry-recognised Gold Standards Framework (GSF) award.

Respite Care

We provide respite care to allow families and friends who provide ongoing care to have a break and take some well-deserved time off. Thanks to our suitably-trained and friendly staff, carers will have peace of mind knowing that their friend, relative or loved one is in safe hands – receiving the right care, with full access to the home’s services and facilities. Our respite care is tailored to individual needs. Whether it is for a few days or a few weeks, we are committed to helping all who stay with us feel welcome and have a positive care experience.

Young Disabled People’s Care (YDP)

We provide both nursing and residential care for younger people aged 18 to 65 who are living with a disability. Our care team work closely with every resident to empower and encourage them to be independent and to learn new skills wherever possible. Together we create a person-centred plan of care that focuses on what people can do and how we can provide the support for them to achieve this.

Gold Standards Framework

As part of our commitment to quality care, all our care locations that provide end-of-life care and support as a primary service seek to apply for, achieve and maintain the Gold Standards Framework (GSF) award.

GSF is a systematic, evidence-based approach to optimising care for all patients approaching the end of life, delivered by generalist care providers.

This includes care:

  • For people considered to be at any stage in the final years of life
  • For people with any condition or diagnosis
  • For people in any setting, whichever bed they are in
  • Provided by anyone in health or social care
  • At any time needed.
