At Qualia Care, our primary concern is for the health and wellbeing of our residents. With this in mind, we are limiting visitors to our homes to essential personnel only. We are still welcoming new residents but have adapted the way we work to ensure we are following government guidance. As ever our friendly teams at each of our care homes are always happy to help and we invite you to get in touch.
Walton Manor is a purpose-built, two-storey care home with 45 rooms featuring ensuite washing facilities, a large lounge, an on-site car park and landscaped grounds.
The sizeable back garden is planted with flowers and has a bandstand for outdoor performances in the summer.
Our kitchen staff keep mealtimes varied and interesting, in consultation with residents who rate full English breakfasts and Scouse stew among their favourite dishes. Any dietary requirements are fully catered for as part of the balanced and nutritious menu.
Helping residents to live an active lifestyle – with access to a wide range of social and leisure activities – is central to the ethos of the home.
Our long-serving activities coordinator always ensures there are plenty of fun and engaging things to do, from boat trips on the River Mersey to visits to the local cinema, or meals out at our local J D Wetherspoon pub.
Our care packages are put together to reflect choice and aspiration, with detailed information drawn upon to establish the best possible, individualised plans.
At Walton Manor we provide a range of care tailored to individual requirements. Our first floor serves as a low to medium security dementia unit and the ground floor is used for general residential and nursing care.
Manager at Walton Manor
I’ve been the manager of Walton Manor since 2013. I used to be a Home Office nurse officer at HMP Liverpool and this is my first role in the elderly care sector. At first, I joined temporarily but I enjoyed the work and the people so much that I stayed.
I grew up in this area and I’ve cared for residents who I knew as a child. During my time here, I have worked with my team to raise standards and build camaraderie. I want staff to feel valued and residents to see living here as being part of a big family or community.
I’m proud to say that Walton Manor is a really important part of the community and that staff are happy and settled, providing all-important continuity of care for residents. I hope to be here for many years to come.
Walton Manor is just around the corner from Everton Football Club, where residents and staff are sometimes treated to free tickets. The busy area – five minutes’ drive from Liverpool city centre – has plenty of shops, pubs and other amenities. Buses are frequent and the M62, M57 and M53 motorway networks are close by.Get Directions
