Arts and crafts at Gilwood Lodge

Colleagues and residents of Gilwood Lodge Nursing Home, Blackpool, have enjoyed making Easter posters, and creating rainbows for our windows – with messages of support including ‘Stay at home’ and ‘Help the NHS’.

All our residents received a chocolate Easter egg – and also enjoyed an afternoon tea fully of yummy sandwiches and cakes.

Our administrator, Ann, said: “The weather has been beautiful, so we’ve been sat out in the garden enjoying the sun. We’ve also been delighted to have received food donations – on more than one occasion – from McDonalds and our local Morrisons.

“The parcels contained essentials such as milk, eggs, pasta and tea bags – a lovely and well-received gesture!”

In other news, we have set up a WhatsApp group for residents’ loved ones, so they can keep up to date with what their relatives are up to.
