The FACT – Foundation for Art and Creative Technology in Liverpool – has become a favourite destination for residents and staff at Walton Manor Residential and Nursing Home.
We regularly take a trip into the city centre in our minibus, for the centre’s Dementia-friendly film showings on Thursdays.
Our manager, John, explains: “Dementia-friendly means that staff at FACT and fellow cinema-goers don’t mind at all if there is a bit of noise and disruption during the film. We have popcorn and other snacks and make our visits into a real treat – something to look forward to.”
Residents have been to showings of ‘It’s A Wonderful Life’, ‘A Matter Of Life And Death’ and other classic movies.
