Table games and singing at Walton Manor

Residents and colleagues of Walton Manor Residential and Nursing Home in Liverpool have enjoyed singing songs to keep us entertained – despite the lockdown!

Activities have been carried out on a one-to-one basis, with games including ‘four in a row’ and ‘snakes and ladders’ taking place in our residents’ rooms.

We have also been singing songs loudly in the corridors. Our residents have been joining in, choosing their own favourite tunes to sing along to.

Our activities co-ordinator, Marina, said “We have a bit of rivalry here between the Liverpool and Everton football supporters – so they’ve been trying to make sure they out-sing each other!”

In other news, we’ve set up FaceTime calls between our residents and their families – so they can still see each other while visiting isn’t possible.
