Residents and colleagues of Walton Manor Residential and Nursing Home in Liverpool have recently celebrated the 90th birthdays of two of our residents.
To mark the occasion, we held a joint birthday party, and had some entertainment from singers Brian and Susie, who were fabulous.
Because of Covid, we were unable to invite relatives, but our residents had a great time, and we enjoyed a lovely buffet. Some of the staff even dressed up in attire from the 40s and 50s!
Our activities co-ordinator, Marina, said: “Some of our residents have been having one-to-one shopping trips. For example, I took one lady to Marks and Spencer and Next, where she bought clothes, some treats to store in the fridge she has in her room, and some rather expensive face cream!
“Other residents have been taking group walks to The Thomas Frost, our local Wetherspoon pub, which we all enjoy.”
In other news, our table games and bingo are still going down a storm, along with regular pamper sessions.View more updates from Walton Manor
