Residents and colleagues of Walton Manor Residential and Nursing Home were delighted to be one of many care homes in the city contacted by Liverpool FC, and asked to make commemorative drawings, following the club’s Premier League success.
Marina, our activities co-ordinator, said: “We were invited to send in pictures following Liverpool’s big win – drawing colourful images and writing words such as ‘proud’, to show our thoughts and feelings on the result.”
“The pictures will then be displayed at the Anfield stadium, so all the residents were excited to get involved – along with schools in the area too.”
We were were also very happy to have our first visit from our hairdresser since lockdown, and everyone got in line to wait their turn – now all the residents look extremely smart!
In other news, we have been singing along to a variety of songs – ranging from Abba to wartime medleys. We have also been enjoying games of Bingo in the garden – with prizes including sweets and shower gels.View more updates from Walton Manor
